Ecuador | The Northern Jungles Rory McGrath | 01 Apr 2011

We booked it in Quito. All the Travel agencies are in the New part of the city. They are all near the banks. You have get a bus to Lago Agrio, and they will pick you up. It then involves a a 2 hour bus ride and then a 2 hour motor canoe ride, it is so worth it. We went for 3 days and 2 nights to Jamu Lodge. We would have happily stayed for a good more few days.

We went on day and night walks through the jungle, we visited a local village in the middle of no where. We went swimming in a massive lagoon. We saw loads of wildlife.

If you stay for more days there are loads of different trips that the guides take you on. They all speak great english and know a huge amount about the jungle.

It has been a huge highlight of our trip.
