We did this about four days into our time in Quito, so had already been to a few places, but regret not having done it earlier as you learn loads about the city and its history and different areas.
The Irish guy who runs it is called Peter, really nice. Got loads of connections so good to ask about stuff to do in the city and being Irish know good places to drink. Afterward you can choose to have lunch in a market where he know all the locals and get really good food and a discounted price.
Something worthwhile doing to fill a morning/day with nothing planned. About 2.5hrs
