Buses are good but for some journeys worth booking internal flights. Very cheap and easy to use. BusBud is a good app for checking bus times but cheaper to buy tickets at the Bus Station. Uber is very good here but if you have a debit card you will have to use cash as it won't accept payment (credit card is fine). Get a Sube card which works for most public transport in Argentina (not Cordoba weirdly).
