When arriving into Shanghai airport only get taxi's from the official taxi rank, or pre-paid taxi points. Do not agree to get in Taxi's from people that are lingering around the airport exit - even if the taxi rank official says it is ok. Be weary if there are two people in the taxi - one who speaks english to you, and the driver who doesn''t speak a word - they pull over on the side of the motorway and charge you stupid amounts (£75 for us) and if you don't pay it you just get dumped on the side of the motorway.
