India | Delhi Airport - Taxi driver cons travellers to go ghastly hotelCharlie McGrath | 02 Aug 2010
Monica & Martin arrive at Delhi Airport in Autumn 2005 determined to have a good time but not to get conned. Monica prebooks hotel but when the taxi driver tells her its just closed she is put off her guard and goes along wihth his suggestion. They end up in an awful hotel and are given the run around for 2 days. What should they have done? Checked that driver was telling tthe truth- either called the hotel or gone back to airport Information Desk to check.
