For those going to India getting an e-tourist Visa is a good but rather expensive option. It can all be done on line and is generally approved in about 5 days. However you must arrive with a hard copy of the e-visa grant and by chance I had kept my boarding card which was the first thing the official asked for. Might be one off but best keep boarding card to be safe.
