Most trains, trams and metro services are run by the same company so I recommend getting an oyster card equivilant at the station which cost around €10/15 which you can top up and buy before you get to security and can then use for pretty much all travel. Saves you paying the transaction fee (€1.50) each time as well as the travel fare.
